Pain exploded into Sam's head. His hands shot up to grab at his hair. He started to thrash in his hotel bed. Sam couldn't even get enough breath to scream in pain. He could only gasp in pain as the vision took over.

... a flash of Dean's face in anguish and pain, followed by a flash of himself trying to protect Dean from the hell hounds that came for his soul. Then a flash of the child demon Lilith standing in front of Dean who was on his knees in front of her while Sam was nailed to the wall behind her to watch. Suddenly the soul was ripped from his brother with no remorse from the child demon, his prone body fell to the floor, and empty shell to be burned later. Then Lilith looked to Sam and giggled and smiled innocently, "Funny how the night you set us free Dean sent his only hope back to hell..."

Suddenly the vision ended and Sam found himself convulsing on the floor of the empty hotel room in pain. When the pain finally eased up enough to let Sam crawl to his hands and knees then gradually struggle to his feet. Sam stumbled over to the bathroom and leaned on the sink finally seeing blood dripping into the porcelain sink. Sam looked up to the mirror and saw that his nose was bleeding. As he looked at his eyes that matched his brothers he remembered the vision as it replayed in his mind.

That's when Sam Winchester became angry. He started to remember the time the trickster had made him watch his brother die over and over again. Sam made a vow right at that moment that he would never watch his brother die again.

Sam's mind was already formulating a plan that went against everything he and his brother stood for. He didn't care anymore if he broke the rules or who he hurt to get his brother his soul back and keep him alive. He wiped away the blood that was trickling into the sink and down his chin  and washed his face.

He heard the door to the hotel room open so he looked over his shoulder to find a shit eating grin plastered on Dean's face. He obviously had fun with the waitress he shacked up with all night.

Dean was to happy and sated to notice the deep and meaningful look his little brother gazed at him with. Dean just winked at him and swaggered over to his bed and flopped down. Sam stood at the doorway of the bathroom looking at his brother and glad he was enjoying himself.

Not wanting to be Dean's killjoy Sam went and got back to bed and decided to start on his plan in the morning...
